Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. I want to thank everyone who in some way has contributed to Compassion Alert this past year. Your efforts have made big changes in many peoples’ lives, and I get messages like this all the time. Responders, many of you are young adults, and it’s crazy encouraging to see so many of you taking the time to reach out to others and let hem know that they’re loved and not alone. I don’t know how many lives have been saved by your combined efforts, but I do know that the amount of messages I’ve received like the one above number in the hundreds. People tell me stories about having the worst day, only to have it turned completely around after finding their inbox full of encouragement, or how the messages gave them the courage to try recovery, or how they checked their tumblr right before attempting to take their life, and decided to stay after they saw all the love in their inbox. I don’t post them publicly on here or my personal blog, so on behalf of everyone whose day has been brightened, future has been changed, or life has been saved because of you guys, thank you. Thank you for being there, because sometimes when life gets dark, that’s all we need - to know someone is there, and that they care. Remember to tell someone that you love them today, and ask them how they’re doing. You could save a life. God bless you guys. Your compassion is beautiful. <3 xoxo, Madden
